Installing the Root Certificate with OS X (Leopard)

Adding the CSU San Bernardino Root Certificate to the OS X keychain will allow Safari to trust CSU San Bernardino secure sites and allow Mail to verify cryptographically signed emails.

  1. Open Safari and go to http://iso.csusb.edu/download/certs
  2. Click the "CSU San Bernardino Root Certificate" link.  This will save the file to either your Desktop or your Downloads folder.
  3. Use the Finder to browse to your download file.  Double click csusbCA.crt.Choose the OS X Keychain
  4. Choose your keychain:
    • If you are the only user of your computer, choose "login"
    • If more that one person uses your computer, choose "System"
  5. Choose "OK".
  6. The Keychain Access widow opens.  Choose "Always Trust".Keychain Access Trust Dialog
  7. Enter you password when prompted.Authenticate to Keychain Access
  8. Quit Keychain Access
  9. Safari will now trust CSU San Bernardino secure sites such as webmail, MyCoytoe, and wiki.
